Barry DePedal[1] is a 2017 Next-Gen SB-9 Piston Cup racer currently being sponsored by RPM.
History
Barry competes in the 2016 Piston Cup season in Cars 3. He enters the season as a mid-season replacement for the previous RPM racer, Bruce Miller. After making his debut, he is proven to be a worthy competitor mostly finishing in high positions. He starts his career with a 4th place finish at Rustbelt Raceway. He later finishes in 3rd at Heartland Motor Speedway. In the Florida 500, he starts in 12th position. He is frequently in the top 15 for the beginning of the race. At some point he and Jim Reverick are in the wreck. Eventually, Jim Reverick and Lightning McQueen both pass him. He restarts in 12th place and later is passed by Cruz Ramirez, and finishes in 13th place.
Personality
Barry is very kind and shy but takes competition seriously.
