Dud Throttleman is a Piston Cup race car.[1] He suceedes Chuck Armstrong as the Mood Springs racer, bearing the number 33. He competes in the 2016 Piston Cup season, prior to being replaced by Ed Truncan, who is more physically capable than him. He is one of the first six veterans who were replaced by a next-gen after the debut of Jackson Storm.

History

In Cars 3, Dud competes in the 2016 Piston Cup season against the likes of Lightning McQueen, Bobby Swift, Cal Weathers, and many others. After Jackson Storm wins the Dinoco 400 at the Copper Canyon Speedway, the Mood Springs team fires Dud and replaces him with a next-generation rookie racer named Ed Truncan.
