Erik Laneley is a race starter for the World Grand Prix. In Cars 2, he is seen waving the flags at the first and second events in Tokyo, Japan and Porto Corsa, Italy, respectively.
He is a Euro-spec Honda Civic that is painted white, with the World Grand Prix logo painted on his doors, a modification on his front left rim to hold the flags, and a rear license plate that reads "02-28". However, Erik's artwork on the packaging of the first international edition of his die-cast model depicts him as a Fiat 500, with a black toupee on his roof, like Luigi.
