Eugene Carbureski is a former Piston Cup Racing Series race car, racing for the Tank Coat team in the series. He is a Husker Morocco that is painted mainly pink and white, with the Tank Coat logo on his hood and trunk in hot pink, as well as the number 36 painted in hot pink on his sides and roof.

History

Eugene appears at the Motor Speedway of the South in Cars, competing in the 2005 Dinoco 400, the final race of the season. Eugene is doing well early into the race, until Chick Hicks attempts to further distance himself from Lightning McQueen, and does so by causing a large wreck consisting of all cars except himself, Lightning, The King, Eugene and Mac iCar, but a mistake happens that Eugene was actually a participant of the wreck where he hits Crusty Rotor and nears James Cleanair, Ponchy Wipeout and Ruby "Easy" Oaks when they collide.

Eugene continues racing restarting in the middle positions. During certain points of the race, he be seen even leading the pack in 2nd, specifically during lap 213 before being overtaken by The King for 2nd and on lap 293 when Lightning has built a huge lead and Johnny Blamer is drafting him in 3rd. By lap 399 however, he had already fallen behind to the back of the pack. He finished in the lower positions.

Between the events of Cars and Cars 3, Eugene retires, and Reb Meeker becomes the new Tank Coat racer.

• Eugene got his start prepping racecars at a local race shop. But it didn't take long before he realized he had more nuts and bolts knowledge of racing than most of the other arrogant cars he was working on. A pick up race during lunch one day between Eugene and one of the pros, showed that he had more power than he knew what to do with. With that one simple victory, Eugene garnered the attention of Wells Runabout, the owner of Team Tank Coat, and the rest is history!

• During the very first shot of the wreck, the viewer can see that Eugene successfully made it out of the crash, but in later shots, he is involved in it.
• Rich Mixon, the next-generation Tank Coat racer, is mistakenly referred to as "Eugene Carbureski" in Under the Hood: The Next-Generation Racers.
• Despite being a Husker Morocco, his shape resembles a Stodgey Suaver EX but in merchandise he closely resembles a Husker Morocco.
