Cars 2 AppMATes was a toy line that featured six characters from Cars 2 that could be played in an app exclusive to iPads, to "explore the world of Radiator Springs" in racing and other mini games. The game was released on September 30, 2011, and removed from the app store in 2018, but if the user has the game in their app library, they can still download and play it, but unfortunately the game is currently lost media.

- The Luxo Ball makes an appearance in Radiator Springs.
- If the player does not have any AppMATes characters, they can use a Paper Lightning by touching Lightning's main menu at the left bottom of the screen, and then touching "Paper Lightning" on the menu.
- In the US, they have metal buttons. In the UK, they have magnetic studs.
- The app marks Okuni's first speaking role.
- Shu Todoroki does not speak if he is the player's opponent during races.
- Even though Rod Redline is a deceased character, he is the one who gave the player tutorial missions.
- Game had 3 different save files that you could play
- Each time you change a save filed,Ramone's paint job changes too!
- Radiator Springs Curious is placed falsely in the game, mostly it is made so that players can see the front of the building and not just the side of it
