The Statue of Luberty is a famous statue and landmark in New York City. It is based on the real-life Statue of Liberty.
History[]
Ciao, America![]
The Statue of Luberty first appears in the World of Cars story "Ciao, America!". After leaving their hometown of Carsoli, Italy. Luigi and Guido arrive in New York City via ferry. Even before getting off the ferry, Luigi excitedly points out the magnificent statue to Guido. In this book, the Statue of Luberty depicts a Ford Model T holding up a lit gas can as a torch.
Planes[]
The statue also appears Planes, though with a different appearance. In this film, the statue depicts a pitty holding up a torch with one of its forklift arms, and clasping a tablet to its front with the other. The landmark is first seen when Dusty Crophopper arrives in New York while trying to find the Wings Around the Globe pit row at John F. Kennedy International Airport. It is later seen again when Ripslinger flies past it during the final leg.
Planes Fire & Rescue[]
The Statue of Luberty also has a brief appearance in Planes: Fire & Rescue. Before Dusty wins the Red Bulldozer derby, he flies past the statue.
