Gray, also known as Gray Hauler or Gray Semi, is The King's hauler, as well as a friend of Mack. According to a comic that revealed their histories, Mack and Gray's fathers were close friends, which allowed their sons to form a strong friendship.

In Cars, Gray appears at the end of Cars, happily watching as Tex Dinoco offers Lightning McQueen the Dinoco sponsor, after he pushed The King to the finish line.
