J.P. Drive[1] is a "next-gen" Piston Cup Racer currently being sponsored by Apple, Inc..

History

In Cars 3, after Jackson Storm wins at the Copper Canyon Speedway, sponsors begin to fire their veteran racers in favor of "Next-Gen" Racers, who are much more physically capable. Apple, Inc. fires their unnamed veteran and replaces him with J.P., who is then seen finishing 2nd at the Rustbelt Raceway, 17th at the Georgia Motor Speedway, and 2nd at the Heartland Motor Speedway. He later appears in the Florida 500, where he is seen in the very lowest positions, starting in 29th, and later spending most of his time in 31st, only ahead of Rich Mixon, the Next-Gen No Stall, Rev-N-Go, and Vinyl Toupee racers. When Cam Spinner ignites the crash, J.P. is struck by Steve LaPage, who had just been hit by Cam Spinner. He was badly damaged and did not finish the race.
