Phil Tankson is a Piston Cup racer. He supersedes Aiken Axler as the Nitroade racer and competes in the 2016 Piston Cup season, prior to being replaced by Tim Treadless.
History
In Cars 3, Phil competes in the 2016 Piston Cup Season against the likes of Lightning McQueen, Bobby Swift, Cal Weathers, Brick Yardley, and many others. After Jackson Storm wins the Dinoco 400 at Copper Canyon Speedway, the Nitroade team fires Phil and replaces him with a next-gen named Tim Treadless.
