When Finn McMissile needs to get foes off his tail, he can use his deployable skate jack to throw them off.

Description[]

The skate jack is a small, skateboard-shaped device that stores in Finn's undercarriage when not in use and is deployed from a small arm on his left side. Once deployed, it can follow enemies and lift them up onto two wheels, throwing off their aim and balance.

Appearances[]

Cars 2[]

In Cars 2, Finn McMissile uses the skate jack as he and mater flee from Grem and Acer at the Towkyo airport. The jack lifts Grem onto two wheels, causing him to wobble and tip over onto his roof, though he is still able to fire off a missile, which Finn counters with a missile of his own. The skate jack is not seen returning and is not present for the rest of the movie, presumably being left behind on the runway.

Cars 2: The Video Game[]

The skate jack also appears in the tie in game Cars 2: The Video Game as a weapon usable by all characters. It is obtained from light blue pickups. In races, attack, and survival modes, the weapon automatically targets the opponent one position in front of the user. When deployed, it locks on and chases them, before launching them into the air with far more force than the movie version. In hunter, arena, and disruptor modes the jack retains the lock on feature but must be targeted by pointing towards an opponent within range. The jack can be avoided by jumping over small walls or gaps, causing it to crash and break, or by transferring the lock to another opponent via a side bash. Unlike in the film, the skate jack in the game deploys from a character's rear.
