Enemies?
- Exactly how is El Guapo enemies with Lightning McQueen? I mean he and Papo were only united against Gerald, Fletcher and Lightning McQueen when they didn't approve of his bragging.
- As far as I'm concerned Papo and El Guapo are only rivals with Gerald and Fletcher, and they certainly don't appear to hold a grudge against Lightning McQueen. Sally Carrera addressed them as 'fans of Lightning's'. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 09:02, August 13, 2014 (UTC)
- From what I can gather, Lightning doesn't really have any specific interactions with them other than the first cut-scene they appear in, where he simply acknowledges them and challenges them to a race. I assume Lightning dislikes them because he seemed to side with Fletcher and Gerald on most things. Even if they're not complete enemies, they're at least rivals. - I think you're right, though I'm pretty sure that El Guapo somehow knew that Lightning McQueen would beat him, even if El Guapo bet Gerald and Fletcher. I'd say that Gerald and Fletcher were interpreted as the 'good' party, Papo and El Guapo were the 'antagonists' for that race, and Lightning was the 'neutral' party in the race. I think he sided with Gerald and Fletcher mainly because they too weren't impressed by El Guapo's bragging. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 03:42, August 14, 2014 (UTC)
