About Me[]
I am Jackson Storm, a young, one of a kind, next-gen Piston Cup car with a burning determination to win. When I was only 9 years old, I won my first race. I had been incredibly braggy about it and unsportsmanlike, as you often see. I have autism, and an anxiety disorder, and as a result I have had anger issues and insecurity issues that have led to temper tantrums when I don't get my way, being easily offended, and once resulted being banned from a short track in Nebraska. The rudeness you often see is an impulse I am unable to control, often related to my insecurity. However, in time, my therapist should be able to help me control it.
2017 season[]
As many noticed, I was not around for the beginning of the season due to failed inspections. When Bill France, the CEO of the piston cup realized I could change the sport , I was allowed to race. When I arrived at the track, no one even noticed me, no one even knew my name. I saw a few whisperers, that was it. I spent most of the race in the back, but on the final lap, I gunned it and slammed the door on McQueen to win. Suddenly, everyone knew my name. Man, it felt good to be on top.
Cal WeathersI was able to be a good sport. . Him and many other racers have also since apologized for misjudging me. Sure, I still have the occasional outburst, but I've got a wonderful friend there for me if I need her, and maybe even a future girlfriend...😏 As for all the older racers, like Lightning Bobby Swift, Brick Yardley, and Cal, many of them have gotten on stand by in case a team needs a relief racer, like they did last week, when Rich Mixon started to feel sick during final practice and threw up on pit road. After that incident, the team called Reb Meeker, upgraded his engine , wheels, and other stuff, and had him sub for Rich. Many other stock cars said they'd be willing to sub if need be, even if it's not for their former team. We have Bobby Swift as our backup if we need him. He's also got a similar paint job to me on. And Cal Weathers now runs superspeedway races (except for the Florida 500) for smaller teams like the Apple team and the part-time Leak Less team. He is still number 42. As for Brick Yardley, I heard he's been hired by the Transberry Juice team as a backup for my good friend Bubba Wheelhouse.
