Valerie Veate was a traffic analyst on her way to Portland to start a new job when she veered off at the Radiator Springs exit to find a place to fill up. Valerie was immediately charmed by the small town but saw that it had congestion problems and offered her services to City Council. Today she chairs the city's expansion committee, advising on growth limits and urban sprawl to preserve Radiator Springs' unique historical character.
